Standin' On The Corner in....Where Else?

I had a little bus-travel-time fun editing some flip-cam video shot and narrated by our (Hotel California-A Salute To The Eagles) front-of-house sound engineer, Kevin Lovelady, while we were in Winslow, AZ for our annual performance at the Standing On The Corner Festival in September of 2009.

WARNING! This is actual footage of actual standing on the actual corner! Also featuring Scott Fronsoe & myself, Steve Probst. (Also produced by a very amateur film crew at work-I'll stick to my "day job")

And make sure you visit the fine folks and our good friends at: Standin' On The Corner Festival for all the history and facts about the famous "Corner"!

See you 2010!

There Goes "There Goes Sebastian"!

Today is the start of the first installment of new catagory, "Taxi Forwards".

Taxi Music is an Independent A&R Company that I subscribe to that screens music submitted by songwriters and/or composers like myself for TV, Film, Publishers, and Record Companies looking to place new material. You can read more about Taxi HERE.

I submitted the song below for an "Indie Pop Instrumental" listing, and one of the "sounds-like" examples was a group I've never heard of called "Belle and Sebastian".  So, did some research and had some fun!  By the way, this is just the first step in the process of getting an actual placement on a TV program.  I'll be sure to let you know how it goes!

And as a painfully humorous aside , for those of you still reading, here's what happens when I play an energetic guitar track(s) with no pick and hence suffer for the successful artistic cause (Apologies for the blurry photo. You get the idea):

** New Instrumental Track, Needs Good Home **

Hey kids, once again it's time to play "Where does this track belong?"
Take a listen to, for now entitled, "Old School Bluesy", and describe a scene where you think this song would be a good fit. Good Luck! (Hint: There are no wrong answers)
